Welcome fellow youth pastors to REyouthpastor.com– a youth ministry website that (re)gives youth pastors practical tools and theology so they can effectively reach school campuses, youth culture, and their community for Jesus.
Youth pastors must value culture, theology, missions (local and global), Church, the Bible, Jesus, and Truth when doing youth ministry. Youth pastors from all church sizes, traditions, geographical locations, denominations, and experiences have to work extra hard at preaching Jesus to a youth generation that thinks church is useless.
Also, REyouthpastor.com loves gathering a small, committed community of like minded youth pastors that are fighting and working hard in the youth ministry trenches together. We are not alone in this youth ministry fight.
Our mantra:Youth pastors should never stop learning from other guys and gals in the youth ministry field.
What REyouthpastor.com Aims For:
Practical. Youth pastors are busy. So it is my commitment to make every post transferable into your youth ministry context. I want to write posts in way where you actually read them. At times the internet can eat up your time, and there are many students out there who don’t know Jesus, so time is everything. I want to give you youth ministry content that is concentrated, tried and test, and actually works.
Theological. Youth ministries need to be Gospel-centered with sound theology that is based on the entirety of God’s Word. Youth pastors must be familiar dealing with primary aspects of systematic categories in theology in order to build a Christ-centered missional and spirit filled and empowered youth ministry.
Cultural. Great places–(suburbs, cities, town) demand a great cultural influence. The hope is to transform and change culture toward the honoring of Jesus in our youth ministries, school campuses, and town. To reach teens for Jesus, assessment and engagement of the culture is imperative. Youth ministries that assess culture will know how to transform culture, teens, and their town for the glory of Jesus.
Missional. Biblical knowledge and education are pointless without a practical and caring way to love teenagers, towns, church, and ultimately the world. REYouthPastor.com reawakens youth pastors to bring the mission of God to their city, church, school, community, and the world. It challenges students to join a mission that brings Jesus to every facet of their life so they can be full time missionaries in their schools and neighborhoods.
Integral. The church body and youth ministry must be fused together. Basically youth pastors and senior pastors must play well together. It is pointless to do youth ministry in isolation of the church. REYouthPastor.com believes that students need to heavily be involved in the life of the church body and in the local community. REYouthPastor.com deeply values the church and believes that youth pastors must intentionally work with the church in order to make students fully devoted followers of Jesus.
