1 Thing Interview With Adam Lehman

1 Comment 07 July 2010

Adam Lehman is the Director of Student Ministries at Sawmill Covenant Church. Adam grew up on a hog farm, went to college in the middle of a cornfield and – somehow – ended up living in Columbus, OH. He enjoys spending time with his wife, his blog & his dog.

Adam Lehman what is one thing (only one thing) you want to tell the youth pastor population?

1 thing. Jesus. I don’t care what metaphor you use to talk about Him, just talk about Him. I don’t care if you use videos or humor or secular music or hymns. Just point people to Jesus. I don’t care if you go on a mission trip or play dodgeball, lead people to Jesus.

And better yet, talk about Jesus to people OUTSIDE of your youth group. Talk to your neighbors about Jesus. I don’t care if you tell them about Christ’s death on the cross or his conversation with the woman at the well, just talk about Jesus. He’s the fullness of God. The fullness of God is on display in the life & teachings of Jesus.

A great line and a nice summary of a missional approach to ministry with youth.
